Alex set his coffee down on the kitchen table. Yet another day I live... He sighed. Sometimes he wished that one of those damned vampires would successfully kill him. Which will never happen. He smiled to himself briefly. His whole life was the cause of that. He was devoted to one thing, and one thing only: to hunt down and kill every vampire he came across. There was nothing that could stop him once he found one of those leeches.
What is the point in life if you do the same thing every day? Why do I even try to live? Alex asked himself that same question too often. And too often did he answer with the same thing. I live because those parasites end someone's life every time they get hungry. He sighed again and went to stand outside his door. He needed fresh air.
Outside, everything was singing with happiness compared to his suicidal mood. The trees were turned slightly orange, which told him that school was back in and the vampire attacks decreased in at least a fourth of what they were during the summer. The school year was always a boring time for him. Ever since he got out of school. The only reason why he relocated to Vancouver was because Washington was close to Oregon. In Portland, Oregon, there have been an increase of vampires ever since the new college sprung up. When they attack, they run to a nearby place, such as a close state. Alex would be driving up to Portland from time to time just to check up on things.
His gaze wandered over to one of his neighbors' houses. The usual empty drive way had a green mustang in it. Jade green. Oh God. She's back. Two girls walked out of the house. One had dark brown hair, one had golden blonde, both had pale skin. Both were stunningly beautiful. The blonde made him pause for a brief moment. Jade's back. And she brought another one. The second he thought that, another guy stepped outside. He too had pale skin and was equally stunning. Three. There's three of them. God, she was supposed to be at college! Why in the world is she back, with two other vampires?!
Alex ran back inside, slamming the door behind him. He grabbed his laptop off his bed and set it down on the table, taking a sip of his coffee. Here. WAPA News.
"IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT!

"She's here till next Tuesday. Wonderful." He took another sip of his coffee and closed the laptop. I can't take on the three of them. I should've killed her a long time ago. He pounded his fist on the table. But what makes me think she'll figure me out now? Jade didn't then, and she won't anytime soon. He would just try to blend in for the next week. It pained Alex to let them live, but if he tried to get all three, he would be the one dead. And what use is that?
